CRIME STOPPERS DOMINICA IS A PROGRAM SEPARATE FROM THE POLICE

Crime Stoppers Dominica is a community-based, non-governmental organization managed by a civilian board of directors.  It is an independent entity and so, it is separate from the police. The organisation was established to provide a safe and comfortable avenue through which the public can report about crime without fear of their identities being known. The anonymity factor is guaranteed since the call centre is overseas based and the attendants are not interested in knowing names and there is no caller ID.

How Crime Stoppers Works

If you have information on a criminal activity, whether it has already happened, is in progress or is going to happen.

  • Call 1-800-TIPS [8477] and give the operator the information or go online at crimestoppersdominica.org and click the “Submit Tip” button.  Do not give your name.
  • Your call is answered by a professionally trained attendant at a call center outside of Dominica.  The call is free, it is confidential and there is no caller ID.  The information is then transmitted through Crime Stoppers Dominica to the Police who proceeds to take the necessary action.
